The Economy - A Hopeful Update

I had a dream yesterday. In this dream I am outside my home in Albany, Oregon. I look up and see a large jetliner in some kind of major distress. As I watched the jetliner I saw that it was going to crash three blocks from my home. I saw that on one side was painted "USA" and the other side was painted "Continental." The plane crashed those three blocks from my house. I went over to it and saw, strangly, that the top of the fuselage was ripped off and all but the pilot and co-pilot had survived without injury.

As I have posted before I believe that this economic downturn has been authored by God. I believe that this dream shows that those leading this economy (the greedy and selfish businesspeople like Madoff, etc.) are going to be taken out of the picture while the rest are going to survive.

There continues to be WAY too much fear, especially in Christians, over this downturn. Put as strongly as possible, Christians have no permission to be in fear about this, or any thing else for that matter. We have to learn to completely trust God, for our finances, as well as the rest of our lives.

One of my favorite quotes right now comes from A.W. Tozer:

"What we need very badly these days is a company of Christians who are prepared to trust God as completely now as they know they must do at the last day. For each of us the time is surely coming when we shall have nothing but God."
